FAQ

  • How do I buy Air Plants from Sunbeam?

Thank you for supporting a local business! I care for my inventory at my Naperville home, so unfortunately I do not have a permanent physical location for you to browse.

The best way to shop is to find me at local upcoming events where you can pick out your plants in person, or visit one of my stockists in the Chicagoland area.

You can shop my website -- I do free local delivery to select ZIP Codes and have flat rate shipping across the country.

  • My plant died. Now what?

First of all, don't beat yourself up about it! Plants die even for the most experienced plant parent. If it is less than two weeks since you bought it, I am more than happy to replace it for free. If it has been longer than that, time to try again!

  • There are so many species of air plants! How can I tell them apart?

Check out the Plant Profiles Page! There you'll find basic information about the most common varieties I carry. It will tell you plant characteristics like leaf texture and color, as well as how drought tolerant the plant is and what are my top picks for new plant parents.

  • Will I kill my plant?

An Air Plant is a real plant - it converts carbon dioxide into oxygen and makes chlorophyll in its leaves for food. All plants need light, air, and water for these basic life functions to occur -- without them, they will die! Fortunately, they are not too picky about light and if you forget to water them, they are easily hydrated by an overnight soak. Just make sure you dry them thoroughly afterwards!

  • I'm going on Vacation. Will my plant be okay?

No need for a plant sitter! Give your plants a soak before you leave and again when you get home. Easy!

  • Will my air plant bloom?

All air plants have the potential to bloom! The bloom appearance and how long it lasts depends on the species. The happiest plants will grow a flower, so keep up with a consistent watering routine and sunlight.
