More About Air Plants
There's humid breezes, frequent rainshowers, and dappled light thanks to the dense forest canopies. This is where most air plants LOVE to be!
Though we can't create an actual tropical rainforest in our homes for our houseplants, wecanuse that information to visualize caring for them.
Air Plants do not demand perfection; they're durable, tolerant, and forgiving. They're a little unexpected and strange, but that's what makes them amazing!
General Air Plant Care
Light
Air Plants are “medium light” houseplants, meaning they like bright rooms and some sun. Avoid summer afternoon rays.
Water
Completely submerge your plants 15-20 minutes once a week in a bowl of rain water, filtered drinking water, or tap water that’s sat overnight.
Drying Time
After soaking in water, place your plants upside down on a towel to dry. Allow your plants to dry COMPLETELY before returning them to their vase or terrarium, about 4 hours.
Air Circulation
Ensure your air plant container or terrarium has holes to allow for air circulation.
